Three papers authored or co-authored by Dr. Peter Karoly Juhasz were published in the proceedings of the joint ACI–fib–RILEM workshop held in Budapest.
Focusing on the design and structural applications of fibre-reinforced concrete, the event featured our research on the practical application of laboratory testing and advanced computational methods.
One paper presents a statistical model of fibre distribution and its application to test evaluation, structural capacity assessment, and on-site quality control. The other two publications explore the design of jointless industrial floors reinforced with synthetic macro fibres through case studies from Hungary and Latin America, combining laboratory testing, finite element modelling, and field monitoring.
These findings contribute to more reliable, economical, and sustainable structural applications of fibre-reinforced concrete.
