 What does a good design mean to us?

Well, most importantly it means satisfying the needs of the client and the society - here society could easily be replaced by Earth. Usually it is feasible by standards and guidelines, but it is not always the case, as it cannot be applied in every case; sometimes we have to revise or look for another solution Meeting all expectations at once can seem surreal, but it is the fundamental task of enginers.
